Busy times

Pfew, this has been a busy time indeed. Lots of things happening on almost the same time. In no particulair order:

I’ve bought a new appartment near the center of Amersfoort. On the 3rd level, it even has some nice views over the city. The whole living room is fitted with 12 rj45 plugs, which are all terminated on a patch panel in another room, where my servers are located too. See this page if you want to see pictures of the serverfarm I’m running here. It took way more time and budget to get this place sorted (doesn’t it always), but the result looks promising. To the #anti-rpm and #mononoke guys, there should be a housewarming lan/meet somewhere near the end of the month, details will follow ;)

I’m starting at my new job (at bit.nl) on the 2nd of April :) Although I’m going to miss my current work (mostly the good colleague’s), I can’t wait to start there. I should end up in an environment where I can start learning lots of new cool things instead of telling my colleague’s about all the cool things I’m doing. Before that, I still need to hand-over all my work here, which shouldn’t need to be that hard, since the guy’s that’ll follow me up are pretty good in what they do.

And in the same timeframe I was also dating somebody, but it turned out that we were too different to make it lasting,… Oh well, can’t have it all I guess.
